About - Holistic Nutrition and Real Food

My name is Shonda and I'm a wife and mother of three children plus multiple pets. Those facts make my life full in their own way, but add on top of that a condition which made me feel tired and sometimes unable to cope and ... well, I wasn't able to enjoy the full blessing of my family life. YET, things have changed.

Holistic nutrition, real food and living a positive lifestyle is what I'm all about! I've improved my health and outlook TREMENDOUSLY since 2010 when I first began this website! Now as a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist I educate others about the REAL benefits of eating REAL FOOD for healthful living. And, as a holistic nutritionist I find it most necessary to address many areas of a person's lifestyle to bring balance to the whole person.

My greatest intent is to encourage you to add more whole plant-based foods to your diet (which by definition falls under REAL FOOD). This means that most of the recipes on this website are based on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds and roots/tubers (such as potatoes) while avoiding refined foods (such as refined flours and sugars). 

To every visitor, I hope this website will help you find your path to a healthier you. I will continue to post recipes which support a REAL FOOD diet and share various insights with you on my home page.
